YCYW GAME JAM 2024
Welcome to the United Nations SDG Game Jam, where creativity meets social responsibility! This competition was aimed at inspiring Grade 5 (Year 6) students to learn coding while addressing the important issues highlighted by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We showed this goal by making the player switch off light around the map to reduce energy usage, which is a good way to reduce energy consumption in real life.
Wario Garbage Collector
YCIS HK - Sze-To Tsz To (Kaden) / Aiden Yim / Anson Peng
The rules of the game is that you have to collect as much rubbish as possible in the game and save the the animals in the ocean. The game works by collecting a lot of rubbish. By doing so, you could save the marine animals in the ocean. You win by defeating the evil human who is throwing tons of rubbish into the ocean.
We chose Life in Water as our UN goal. This UN goal links to our game because in the past years, pollution had killed a lot of marine animals. In this game, it could show you how to help fix this problem. Just collect the rubbish!
